Welcome to 8 Manorcombe Bungalows set in the heart of the Tamar Valley in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. As you approach St Ann's Chapel on the A390 follow the signs to Cotehele and shortly after a cross roads you will see the Park entrance on your left opposite a bus stop. Drive right through the Holiday Park, past Reception and the Honicombe Arms, over the bridge and then park the car either in the marked spaces to the right or left. Our Bungalow is nearby with anytime access via a Key Safe next to the front door.
Inside the centrally heated open plan living area are two comfortable leather sofas for up to 6 with a smart LG 43” TV and DVD/Blu-ray player to enjoy a film or two in the evening. Connect to the internet using the supplied code and whilst the contracted speeds are adequate we have found they can be lower for no apparent reason. If you have a problem connecting then turn the router by the TV off and on again as this often resolves the problem. Where there is an ongoing issue the provider has always been on hand to make the technical adjustments required.
The fully equipped kitchen includes a dishwasher, washing machine, coffee maker and worktop freezer. For provisions there is a Tesco Supermarket in Callington and a Morrison's and Lidl in Tavistock together with a Panier Market, specialist shops and a Park. Meals and snacks are served either on an extending dining table for up to 6 or outside on the south facing patio where our table will accommodate a parasol if the sun is ever too hot for some. Ample hot water is available via an immersion heater with timed settings to avoid leaving it permanently on.
Three good sized bedrooms comfortably sleep up to six one with a double bed; one with bunk beds and a single bed; and one with two singles that can be joined to form a large double all with drawer units and hanging space. All the beds have duvets, pillows and mattress protectors and currently we are not offering a bed linen service so please remember to pack your own. A separate toilet with hand wash basin is next to the bathroom with a 5’6” bath with electric shower above, a wash basin with a mirror and shaving point above. Please bring your own towels.
Honicombe is a quiet rural location to simply relax but also a perfect base for activities including walking, cycling, tree-surfing and canoeing not to mention exploring with trips out to the coast for swimming, surfing, paddle boarding or simply relaxing on the beach with a holiday read. On the Park there is a tennis court, two childrens play areas, a small shop in Reception and the Honicombe Arms offering a full range of meals and drinks. There is a swimming pool, games room and mini gym which are all available to guests staying in our Bungalow.
